Happy Friyay  Feeling so happy and energised after today's workout! Did @fitnessblender's total body strength workout for people who get bored easily and it was a sweat fest  I've been really lazy with working out lately and had a 2 day rest day just because I haven't been feeling 100%. It probably wasn't the best idea cause working out always makes me feel so much better once I get into it. So maybe if I had worked out those 2 days I would've felt mentally happier. But it doesn't matter cause I did workout today and I feel amazing and back to my happy self  I've said this so much but it is okay to take a few rest days when needed, don't beat yourself up over it cause there's no point in being upset with yourself just because you skipped a few days. Enjoy the rest days and get back into it when you're ready! Working out isn't supposed to be a punishment or stress you out! Just do what makes you happy Anyway, I hope you all have an absolutely amazing #friyay and a great start to the weekend!!

Coming at you with another progress pic cause it's #transformationtuesday  Left: may 2016 (40 weeks of BBG) right: November 2016 (68 weeks of BBG)  I'm so happy with the difference in these photos because for the longest time I felt like my progress had plateaued. So I did a few things to change up my routine in the past few months. Firstly, I increased my calorie intake so I could start building more muscle  (I'm not sure by how much exactly I increased my calories as I don't count calories because I've had a restrictive past with calories, but I just ate a lot more)  I started working smarter NOT harder. I used to do a ton of cardio/weight workouts that lasted about 1hr-2hrs which just left me fatigued. I would even do HIIT/cardio/weight workouts that lasted 30-40 minutes right after I did BBG. There was a reason @kayla_itsines suggested not to do that in her guides but I didn't listen because I thought that would help me get results faster  But now instead of that I do my regular BBG, HIIT, Cardio and weight workouts on separate days and my workout sessions last about 30-50 minutes depending on the intensity. I have also started listening to my body more by taking more rest days and adding in more cheat meals when I wanted them (a few cheat meals will not ruin your progress. It might hinder it if you eat junk for a few days/weeks straight but you can always get back into cleaner eating and it'll be okay, it's normal and we're only human). The biggest change in these photos is probably my mental state though, I've found a healthier, happier and new outlook on working out. I've realised its a lifestyle, where I will have ups and downs. I just have to remember that I'm doing this for me and no one else, so I shouldn't compare my body to others, or think that this journey is some kind of race to the finish line. I'm so happy with how far I've come in these past few months and just wanted to share it with you all. Also wanted to clear up that this is what worked for me and everybody is different, so what works for me may not work for you  Hope you all have an absolutely amazing day  . #bbgprogress #sweatwithkayla

Not a progress photo  Since its #humpday I thought it would be appropriate to post a booty pic  I thought I'd show my booty from its normal straight leg standing position vs a posed booty pop position  cause in a world where the Kardashian's bootys are so glorified, we need to remember that the photos we see of them and others aren't always reality. Their butts can't ALWAYS look that big from every angle  Same goes with photos on Instagram, we see them as goals and think we'll never be able to gain that much muscle or lose that much fat, but what you need to remember is that those photos you see are achievable, you can get to your goals, you can achieve anything with the right amount of determination, patience and effort! Don't think you can't because you're comparing a posed photo of a body to your everyday body. Use them as motivation but don't get too caught up on them. YOU are beautiful and can do anything you put your mind to. I hope you have an amazing day

Rest day  I can feel my body's been really slow and sore recently, needing a full day of rest, so I'm gonna listen to it and chill today even though I'm mentally craving a weightlifting session  Also it's been crazy hot where I live so I'll be taking advantage of that and spending some time in my bikini ☺️ Hopefully I'll be up and running again soon (really hope I'm not getting sick ) Anyway hope you all have an absolutely lovely day, one more day and it's the weekend  . . . #bbg #bbg2 #bbgcommunity #bbggirls #bbgsisters #bbgvegan #bbgsouthafrica #vegan #vegansofig #veganfitness #restday #bikinifitness #bikinis #weightlifting #girlswholift #girlswithmuscle #kaylasarmy #vegangains #plantbased #crueltyfree #plantpowered #instafitness #tanning
